What should i do with the keg?

So im havin a 2 kegger party for the 4th. We found a place to get them from, but we have to pick them up July 1st. My one buddy said he will put one in his fridge, but we arent sure what we should do with the other one. Would it b ok to keep it in the garage until the 3rd and then put it in ice friday nite?
