Do you think he's just trying to get a rise out of me by putting "in a relationship" on facebook??

My ex boyfriend and I broke up about a month and a half ago. We had a clean break, no contact. Then, I contacted him and left a message about a month in saying that I hoped he was well and that I did not have any hard feelings or judgements. He called me a few days later and asked me to meet for coffee. We did, had a nice chat, did not talk about getting back together, but sort of "neatly flirted" I guess. Hugged eachother a big hug good bye. He texted me the next day saying sorry for the texts lastnight, wont happen again. The thing being, I did not received anything from him. When I messaged him that, he wrote back saying that after he looked in his outbox, he did not message me afterall and sorry. Then, I had a few drinks on my birthday this past weekend, and wrote him saying hey and to tell his friend happy birthday. He wrote back saying thanks and that he hoped I was having a good day. Then he texted me happy bday on Tues. Now his status "in a relationship?"
