Guitar players advice ?

Buy Total Guitar magazine every month and learn the songs it teaches you. That's what our guitarist did for a year or two when he started playing guitar about 5 years ago and now he can just play any clic rock/metal song you name. But he also learnt the scale for any son he learnt, so maybe try that too. If you put in the time it will pay off.
