How can Catholic laypeople make reforms in the Church and help Bishops understand our needs, concerns & ideas?

FYI -- Abandoning ship, aka throwing out baby Jesus with the polluted bath water (hierarchy and poor human decisions) is not an option. Specifically, this is in regard to abuse of power by Bishops, liturgical reform issues and lack of eenical progress. As an active, informed Catholic it is so frustrating to see problems in an institution and have no recourse. Laypeople have virtually no say in making amends at this level and offering common sense, creative & practical prayerful ideas and solutions. May God bless you for your concern and input.
