Is it legal to chip in from people under 18?

I know soliciting money from children on the internet is illegal but is chip in? I want to get a new camera and on my last insight I saw that 97.4 percent of my subscribers are under eighteen and i talk to them 24/7 through AIM and some on the phone and they all said that they would and of course their parents know already so I was just wondering about that.
