Prednisone and behavioral changes in your dog? ?

This is my third try. Something with the web page keeps canceling my answers. I've had no dog taking prednizone. I have taken lots and your description of changes in your dog parallel those in me. I had lung cancer and many subsequent lung infections which require prednizone. I am more talkative, more confrontational, and quicker to lose my temper...overall more aggressive. Doctors tell me that the medicine causes that in many folks. I think dogs are like people in many ways so I'm not surprised at your reports on prednizone. You will need to be more patient and understanding and a little protective of having others around. Be careful of yourself since your animal is not him/herself. I'm sorry for your dog's cancer. I wish you well in what may be a tough road ahead.

Why all the insults from this guy??

Okay I saw thsi guy for a month. He would call mostly when he was drunk btu also when he was sober. I met him at the bar when we were drunk. Lets say we got kinda busy and did stuff. Well after about a month he calls to tell me he is leaving town and moving away and its about his family and that and he wont tell me exactly where. he says if I come over we will talk about it. Well he beats around the busch and I never get a straight answer on anything. I was sad he was leaving and I was worried about him as well as myself never getting to see him again.So maybe he sensed that so he goes "Ill still call u the next night and the next" I asked if we were over and he said no and that if we ever were over he would tell me. Well in the morning he says no he really is nto leaving town and that I can call and that I am just being ignorant. Okay i was at a loss about what was going on. So I waited a week and emailed him. Well he always told me I was hot everytime he called me drunk or not to see him. So I said if he ever came back to town to please call me I would like to see him again and that I would try to stay hot for him. he goes in emails to me "You are nto hot at all. Nobody thinks yourre hot. You look like you have down syndrome." Oh it was awful I cried so much. I told him nto to say another mean thign to me. he says I do not come close to any of the girls on his facebook page and to leave him alone, stop writing him, and that he will never see me again or call me wehn he gets back into town. I emailed him for awhile to try and figure out where he was or what was going on. He stayed off facebook for awhile at the time. Once I stopped emailing him for 3 weeks I got a text that said "Stop emailing me." That day he logged on and updated his facebook profile to drunk. Has this guy lost it?????

I keep getting emails from my ex boyfriend that are just mean but non threatening. He also is using either his neighbor's wireless internet connection or possibly another wireless connection from a local business in the neighborhood. (How do I know this, because that's how he gained access to the internet when we dated.) IHe says I can't prove anything because the emails are not being sent from his internet provider so there's no way to trace them back to him. an officer can ask you to exit the car. he is trying to find out information from you away from the other people in the car. you can lock your car and invoke your 4 amendment rights - and stick to them. he will have to arrest you to search you or your car. as for getting a ticket for something unrelated - well to put it nicely - he had to justify his stop. does the law in cal state you can only have one person under 20 while you the driver is currently under the age of 18? if so the ticket will stand and then you will be going to driving school. make sure you choose on-line driving school it only costs about $40 verses the courts $200 to $400 charge they might charge. the letter from the coach might help a little to show you were not out there just screwing around. good luck!!

Two 3w 5d old kittens widely different in size, whats average weight?

My cat had three kittens at two weeks old we had a kitten die. it was the runt and was expected, then immediately following that (or maybe before that, I hadn't been weighing them then) the largest kitten stopped growing and the other seemed to explode weight-wise I started supplimental fluids then supplimental feeds. I now feed her 4-5 times a day and everytime I do she is just panics trying to get to the eyedropper. She weighs 5.2 oz now and her sister (the big one) weighs 12.8oz. I do not suppliment the bigger sister at all and I have seen both kittens nursing from momma cat. What are average weights for kittens 3,4,5,6 weeks? Momma cat is still caring for both babies as far as cleaning and stimulating bowels. this just blows my mind how one kitten can thrive and the other can not.. and info is greatly appreciated!!

Month trip to Costa Rica, suggestions?

My boyfriend and I are going to Costa Rica in February for a month. It’s going to be my first trip to the country but he’s visited often. We’re planning on renting a car and visiting a few of his friends that have moved there but he thinks that we should rent a place in Santa Teresa. In today's world...Mommy and Daddy both have a job to make ends meet. Gas prices are skyrocketing. The cost of a gallon of milk is almost $5! Unless you are working or upper cl you cannot afford health insurance...much less pay for a doctor out of pocket....or you have to be at rock-bottom...living off welfare. If you are disabled but make over $300 each for a family of three...but cannot afford to pay for health insurance...social security says...oh...so sorry...too bad! you get no help. my daughter is 13 and type 1 since she was 5 (so I know) to give you an example...it depends on the insulin she is on...my daughter is on novarapid and she has to test 3 hours after she eats because that is how long it acts for. She has done her reading 30 mins etc after she eats and it is high...the insulin hasn't had a chance to do the job. Your daughter is probably on humalog? If you daughter is just recently diagnosed then please just make sure you keep really good records, give it the two hours and if it is happening (hypos)after the same meal every day then that insulin needs to be cut back (after you speak to your nurse/doctor) Diabetes is a big deal, you have every right to ring the doctors surgery. I will tell you Mother to Mother, do whatever you can, find out as much as you can and do the best you can because it is a big burden to bear and a huge worry, all the time. I still sometimes go into my daughters room at 2am to do a fingerprick if she has been at the pool or something because I know they can just plummet so quick. When your daughter is a bit older, look into the insulin pump, it is better control, no more needles, frees up their meals and what they can eat. What should I do with a deadbeat RA and a dorm full of chaos?

The RA is a total deadbeat, he only did the job to get paid, the hall is full of girls screaming and yelling during "quiet hours". You can ask them to stop and they wont, then the RA is never around anyways to help mediate. Meanwhile there are guys that are just plain rude and obscene not to mention they listen to their music as loud as it can go just to piss people off. (Same thing with the girls, they wont stop regardless of anything you ask them). What to do with all this chaos and failure?

I was wondering if others view evolution as a religion as I do. I hear it all the time about how evolution is based on science/facts. I agree, the evolution theory does contain SOME facts , as does a lot of ideas/beliefs, scientific in nature or not. The real question about evolution is whether these observational facts made in the present are sufficient for ones to put complete faith in its set of beliefs, i.e. religion. If a belief contains or is based on a series of facts, does that necessarily mean that the belief is completely true/factual? For example, the bible has a lot of facts. It contains historical and scientific facts. Yet that doesn't necessarily prove that the whole bible as a whole is a fact, right? It's mostly religious in nature. Evolutionary philosophy is also based on a series of facts. Does that mean that evolution happened/is a fact? No, its a religious viewpoint that is formed/based on the facts that are observed. True science uses the scientific method, not speculation molded by a biased viewpoint. Thus no part of the evolutionary process, such as how it happened, can ever be erted as a fact. The fossils exist, that's a fact. DNA of creatures are similar in nature, that's a fact. Forelimb structure, again a fact that they are similar. Science ends at this point. Its now up to people to conclude what this evidence suggests. Evolutionists feel it fits their model of common decent. Ones who believe in creation believe this fits their model of common design. So, the argument of science vs religion is totally inaccurate. Its religion vs religion. Its the science of one religion vs the science of another religion. Creation along with evolution contain "miracles", things that are naturally impossible, its just that evolution doesn't want to admit it. I feel that there are myriads of observational evidence implying creation. Evolution doesn't even compare in my opinion. The scarce interpretable facts ociated with evolution aren't enough to change my commonsense viewpoint that things don't/cant make themselves. What's your take on what you see in the world?

Karate, BJJ, Muay Thai?

Hi, I've been wondering what I should do with my martial arts 'career' so to speak. I'm 15, and currently doing Shorin-Ryu Karate at a very good dojo. I've been there for 2 years. I have a contract which obligates me to do Karate for at least 2 more years. I'm currently a blue belt, which is the 4th rank out of 10 kyu ranks. Anyway, a good guess is that at the end of these 2 years, I'll be a red, or brown belt (7th and 8th ranks). I could keep going for Black, or switch to a different Martial Art. I think by the end of these 2 years, although I won't be a master, I'll have very solid Karate fighting technique. Afterwards, do you think I should leave and find an MT gym, or broaden my fighting and learn BJJ then maybe do MT later? Internet explore has closing error. the 'X' in the upper right corner isnt there until i try to click it?

when i open internet explore it is fine as long as only 1 page is open, but once it opens a second page the 'X' (close) in the upper right cornet and the min/max ons are not there. I have been told my whole life to buy cash value life insurance (whole life, universal, etc) because that was like 'owning' your policy. When my grandfather died though, he had over $80,000 in his 'cash value' policy with Northwestern Mutual. When my grandmother went to collect, they only gave her the regular face amount of the policy and keep the cash value of $80,000. He paid a ton of money into this policy for his life insurance AND savings plan to p on to his family, but in fact we only got ONE of them when he died? Obviously I am questioning if this is still a good plan. Is cash value life insurance really worth what these agents are selling it as because right now they seem like scam artist.

I do call the shots as a parent... just beacause a channel is showing no programming for a couple hours does not take that control away from me. If it were constant I may get a lil miffed, but it is one day... not even the entire day. I look at it as a good thing. PSP RemoteJoyLite Problems?

I have a psp phat running cfw 5.00 m33-4 and my screen is cracked so i managed to add the plugins for remotejoy lite v.19 and enabled them in the recovery menu. Everything is working fine. I'm really discouraged with skating right now because I haven't been able to get back into it very much since I've been off of the ice the past year and a half due to injury. I think that I would be abe to do it, but my two biggest problems right now are that my parents aren't sure they want me back on the ice due to fear of injury, and I feel like I am unable to skate as well as I used to and even though it's coming back it's so slow. Missed period, cramps, weight gain, painful ..what's going on?

Its been 10 days since I missed my period. I don't have the spot on regular periods but they only delay by 2-3 days max. I took the pregnancy test and its negative. My other symptoms since last 4-5 days include pain in the pelvic area including intermittent cramps in the lower abdomen and ongoing back ache. It gets worse with exercise. I'm in graduate school now and started right after I got my BA, so I never took time off to get a "real" job. Fellow employees would attest,as it was a running joke in our company for 3 years.3 years ago I was diagnosed with some very serious medical problems and 2 years ago I had surgery which was supposed to significantly limit my duties at work according to restrictions placed on me.My restrictions were broken daily,which I relize I was partly responsible for,and Im not afraid to say that my workload if anything increased instead of decreasing.While in turn my counterparts on 2nd shift decreased.Basically I was doing 99% of the work while he mostly slept at night or was never even there..My foreman informed me at least 15 times of how this employee was going to be fired for not doing his job and for even stealing from the company.In November,over the Thanksgiving weekend,I had worked feverishly to keep my jobsite afloat working all four days while other employees were off and our job was shut down.My counterpart also"worked" these four days and it was known by my foreman that he done absolutlely nothing the whole time he was there.The following Monday I had a near death experience as ,according to my Dr.,the over exertion from the previous 4 days had caused me to p out,falling face first in 8" of water.A fellow employee saw it happen and pulled me out..After four days in the hospital I was informed by my employer that they no longer had anything for me at my jobsite to accomodate my restrictions.Im going to give you 1 guess at who has my job now..Yes your right my counterpart from second shift.With everyone I worked with in the entire company knowing that I was being "worked like a dog" and this guy was "getting away with murder" do I have any recourse against anyone be it the company,the foreman or the employee for me no longer having a job.I mean is it fair or is there a law against working one guy to death and then replacing him with the reason he was worked to death..

accessing the bios - when the computer first starts and has the black screen, there should be a small msg in the corner (bottom left I think) that gives you an option to press a Function key or Esc to access the settings/bios/whatever Compaq calls it. Press that key and it shoudl take you to the bios setup. There should also be an option to press a key to temporarily change the boot order. If that is present, you don't need to go into the bios. YOu can format the harddisk and install XP.

I would get a guinea pig. I have two of them and they are very lovable! Mine love to snuggle with my wrapped up in a blanket. Guinea pigs can live to 4 to 6 years, but if you take very good care of them, they can live from 6 to 10 years! Just make sure that if you get a guinea pig, consider getting two of them. They will get lonely very quickly and would like the company. Make sure that it's the same gender though.

Donor for FHA gift funds?

Ok, we got the FHA loan. All we need to do is get the "gift letter" and the doents for proof of gifting. Now, we are concerned because my uncle, who is giving us the money, obtained a loan from his bank to give to us. We didn't know he borrowed the money until we got his bank statement, which the lender needs. I have read the FHA Guidelines and see that the donor can borrow the money as long as we have nothing to do with the loan, which we didn't because he never told us, and as long as it is not a party to the home buying transaction. Is it true then? Are we ok with my uncle gifting us the money even though he borrowed it from his bank? We don't have to pay it back or anything as he just wanted to help us get a home and we aren't listed on this loan at all. If my uncle can't give us the money, the only other option is to have a member of his church, my uncle is a pastor and the person is a family friend, gift us the money but we don't know which way to go.

How do I save a movie from a mini DV camcorder in individual clips, preferably named by date?

I would like to transfer video from my mini DV camcorder, but instead of getting one large file, have each clip saved by itself, preferably with the date in the title. Both Pinnacle Studio and Adobe Premiere can separate the clips for use in their own programs, but I can't find a way to easily save them so that all video programs can read them. Buy Total Guitar magazine every month and learn the songs it teaches you. That's what our guitarist did for a year or two when he started playing guitar about 5 years ago and now he can just play any clic rock/metal song you name. But he also learnt the scale for any son he learnt, so maybe try that too. If you put in the time it will pay off.

Unethical treatment of chihuahua at pet store?

I was in the Petland store this afternoon with my boyfriend. We saw a VERY small chihuahua puppy in a display with two other dogs (one larger chihuahua puppy and another small-breed dog). The small puppy was being trampled on and run into by the other two, larger, more boistrous puppies. I said something to the manager, who told me he would be fine, he just had to get used to it. Ok. We went and checked on him again a few minutes later. He was trying to walk across the enclosure, and his tiny feets were falling in between the wire grate. I was concerned that he would either fall over and break his legs or have one of the other rowdy puppies run into him and snap his leg in the grate. My boyfriend said something to the manager again, who told us he would be fine, he'd just have to get used to it. I asked how old he was, he said 8 weeks, and so were the other puppies. He really looked younger than that. I didn't feel right about this. Is this legal, if not, is there anything I can do??

I have pain in my neck and chest on right side and it gets worse when I bend over?

I had this pain once before a few weeks ago it was accompanied by pain in my ear as well. Sometimes the pain in my chest feels like water running(which is actually not painful-just weird feeling) other times it radiates into my right arm. Every month they had gotten steadily worse up to a point then they just stayed about the same amount of pain, still bearable. I could take ibuprofen and they would go away after a while. How do I deal with mildew in a damp dirt crawl space?

I have a dirt crawl space under my house, about 800 square ft, average height 2 ft. It's damp all the time. Is there a way to treat the soil so mildew will not grow? If not should I cover the entire area with plastic even though the mildew will probably continue to grow underneath it. Because of the way the house was built ( the footer is only two courses of block below grade ) in the convergence of two hills, all moisture drains toward the house. I've put in drain tile which helped a little. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you read the biographies of both philosophers you will gain a lot of insight into their works and lives, and you can understand your questions better. Socrates had a very unique way of teaching. They are still using his method in most law schools. It's called the Socratic method. The main concept is that you ask questions until there are no more questions to ask. Need help with atv please!!!?

I have a Honda fourtrax90. I haven't started it in about 3 years. I am selling it now but there is one small problem. It usually fires up fine but i have to keep pumping the throttle to keep it running. If I let it idol all the way down then push the throttle it, it stalls. I have to keep doin this for a good minute or two before I can shift ino first. I have the same problem in first. If I let it idol all the way down sometimes if I pump it really hard and fast it won't stall but if i just push the throttle in it will. It goes away a little bit after riding for awhile. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Minor concussion....?

Yesterday, I was playing capture the flag with a football with some people. A high school football player ran at me at full speed and knocked me down (by mistake). I fell on the turf on the same side he hit me. I got up right away because it didnt really hurt but later that day I kept losing my balance and then this morning when I woke up, the side I fell on hurt so much and It hurt everytime I laughed or even breathed hard. But just about 3 hours ago I started becoming dizzy and I couldnt even stand for about 30 seconds without getting dizzy and my hands keep shaking. It is starting to get alittle better but my head feels so full and Im still a little dizzy only when I stand. Do you think I have a minor concussion? Thanks for your help.

What should I name this character in the story I'm writing?

Okay. I am writing a story and I can't seem to figure out a name for my female main character. She's sort of an outcast, kinda...punk-ish...if you will. How to save lilac trees?

I have fun with people at school but a girl from church keeps telling me that everyone there thinks I'm no fun. sounds ok to me. the best way to do it is to add fish slowly to the cycled tank and measure the ammonia nitrites and nitrates. Those are all small fish so i would just put them all in when the tank water is ready for them. Danios are super tough so they can live through anything almost.
